Bradford stage dramatic fightback to down Accrington 3-2

Peter Thorne scored a last-minute winner as Bradford scored three in the last 10 minutes to beat struggling Accrington 3-2 in an amazing comeback. Substitute Barry Conlon had equalised in the 88th minute with a free header from Dean Furman's free-kick. Then the Bantams broke quickly with Thorne slotting home his ninth goal of the season to give Bradford their first win in four games. The Bantams trailed 2-0 after 49 minutes. A training ground routine came off for the Reds in the 23rd minute. John Miles' corner was dummied by Peter Cavanagh and Jimmy Ryan ran onto the ball to fire home his third goal of the campaign. Bradford were unlucky not to level on the stroke of half-time when Joe Colbeck hit the crossbar with a 20-yard free-kick. Play-off chasing City paid for it four minutes after the restart when Reds striker Terry Gornell beat the off-side trap and the on-loan Tranmere teenager side-footed home his first ever league goal. But Michael Boulding curled the ball into the net in the 80th minute to give the Bantams heart and then came the fightback as Stanley have now lost six out of their last seven games.
