Grant nets injury-time penalty against Millers
Aldershot striker John Grant showed nerves of steel to keep his team in the FA Cup as his 93rd-minute penalty earned a 1-1 draw with Rotherham.
Grant had missed a penalty in the defeat at Morecambe last time out, but had no hesitation in stepping up again to beat Andy Warrington from 12 yards after Marvin Morgan had been fouled by Nick Fenton.
Rotherham had led since the 55th minute when former Darlington midfielder Michael Cummins fired in Alex Rhodes' cross.
Straight from the kick-off Pablo Mills fired just wide for Rotherham before Aldershot responded with Grant's shot from the edge of the area brilliantly saved by Warrington.
The Millers' shot-stopper again had to be at his best to keep out Kirk Hudson and Anthony Charles as the home side dominated.
The visitors took the lead when Cummins fired in Rhodes' corner on the half-volley, before Grant rescued Aldershot's year-long unbeaten home record from the spot.
