AZ Alkmaar proved far too strong for Sparta Rotterdam on Friday as they secured a 6-0 victory.
Mounir El Hamdaoui started the rout inside the opening 60 seconds, before Moussa Dembele doubled their lead on 21 minutes.
Gill Swerts notched a third on 27 minutes and Belgian striker Dembele grabbed his second a minute later.
El Hamdaoui completed his brace on 58 minutes and Niklas Moisander rounded off a comprehensive victory on the hour-mark.
AZ have now won their last three Eredivisie fixtures and climb towards the summit while Sparta remain winless and slumped third from bottom in the table.
