Striker helps Bournemouth to crucial win
Lee Bradbury scored his first goal of the season to set Bournemouth on their way to a valuable 2-1 home win over Dagenham.
The former Manchester City striker, now playing as a right-back, cut in from the right in the 24th minute before beating goalkeeper Tony Roberts with a deflected left-foot shot.
Bournemouth increased their lead in the 31st minute when Brett Pitman scored at the near post from six yards after meeting a centre from Danny Hollands.
Only an outstanding save from Roberts in the 33rd minute denied Hollands scoring with a fierce right-foot shot.
Dagenham struggled to make an impact until Jon Nurse was introduced as a substitute in the 69th minute. Within three minutes Nurse had pulled a goal back when he leapt high to head in a free-kick from Danny Foster.
Nurse almost scored again in the 84th minute with a left-foot shot which struck the outside of a post but Bournemouth held on.
