Leaders suffer slip up
League Two leaders Wycombe slumped to their second defeat in a week despite being given a soft early goal as Bournemouth hit back to win 3-1.
Wycombe lost at home to Grimsby last week and never looked like making amends against a spirited Bournemouth side who gave veteran striker Steve Fletcher his second debut almost 17 years after the first.
The Chairboys were ahead in the ninth minute when Bournemouth goalkeeper David Button, on loan from Tottenham, failed to control a back pass and let in Matt Harrold for an easy goal from close range.
Bournemouth surged back to equalise in the 24th minute when striker Brett Pitman blasted home a free-kick from 30 yards.
Wycombe suffered another set back six minutes later when Pitman took a corner on the left and Jason Pearce headed in from close range.
Bournemouth's third in the 63rd minute had an element of fortune about it, Jake Thomson's intended centre taking a deflection and looping over goalkeeper Scott Shearer.
