Bradford ended play-off contenders Morecambe's four-match winning run with second-half goals from skipper Zesh Rehman and Adam Bolder firing them to a 2-0 win.
Rehman broke the deadlock after 69 minutes when left-back Robbie Threlfall's inswinging free-kick from the right was flicked into his path by Steve Williams.
Midfielder Bolder put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time.
Leon Osborne broke up a Morecambe attack on the edge of the home penalty area and sent Gareth Evans away down the left.
Evans raced 40 yards before playing the ball into the Morecambe penalty area where Bolder neatly side-stepped two defenders before slotting the ball into the empty net.
It was his first goal for the club since joining on loan from Millwall.
