Seagulls held by minnows

Brighton face an FA Cup replay at non-league Woking after the Cards forced a creditable 0-0 draw at Withdean Stadium.

The Seagulls made six changes against a team 82 places below them and were frustrated throughout. Brighton, who had scored 12 unanswered goals in their previous four games, came closest to snatching victory when substitute Gary Hart shot wastefully wide from six yards shortly after the break. Brighton keeper Peter Brezovan, recalled in place of Casper Ankergren, came to his side's rescue after 29 minutes by blocking an effort from Moses Ademola who broke dangerously through the middle. Brighton got in behind their opponents for the first time when a cross by skipper Inigo Calderon was not cleared and Gary Dicker shot wide from close in. Glenn Murray disappointingly headed over for Brighton just after the break, and substitute Agustin Battipiedi came close to settling the issue late on when his goal-bound shot was blocked by defender Joe McNerney.
