League Two leaders unable to find a way through

Blue Square side Droylsden recovered from early nerves to take League Two leaders Darlington to a replay following a goalless draw. Droylsden goalkeeper Craig Mawson performed heroics in the opening 15 minutes before picking up an injury after colliding with a post. Stand-in keeper Kyle Clancy kept his side in the tie with a polished performance which thwarted Darlington's strike-force as they failed to score at home for the first time this season. Darlington began well and Mawson had to be alert to keep out efforts from Gregg Blundell in the opening minute and then a 20-yard drive from Adam Griffin in the third minute. The hosts stepped off the gas later on and Clancy's only save of a torrid second half came in the 63rd minute when a diving header from substitute Richie Foran was palmed away.
