Rotterdam giants overcome NAC
Feyenoord claimed a much-needed 3-1 win over NAC Breda at De Kuip.
The Rotterdam giants are having a horrendous season by their own high standards and before Boxing Day they sat just two points ahead of the relegation play-off picture.
However, they now have a little more breathing space after dispatching of NAC, their first win in six league games.
Diego Bisewar opened the scoring after 33 minutes and Leroy Fer made it 2-0 in the stroke of half-time.
Fer then grabbed his second when he scored just after the hour.
NAC, who could have moved above PSV Eindhoven into fourth with victory, claimed a late consolation through Matthew Amoah.
