Alexander Kerzhakov set Guus Hiddink's men on their way with the opener on 26 minutes.
Kerzhakov doubled the advantage eight minutes after the break and Konstantin Zyryanov added a third 19 minutes from time.
The win moves Russia one point behind Germany and five ahead of Finland in the race to reach South Africa next summer.
