Fleetwood v Bury preview

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Fleetwood Town and Bury at Highbury.

The Cod Army boast a clean-bill of health ahead of this weekend's fixture as they look to make it back-to-back wins at home. Graham Alexander's side moved up to fourth in the League Two table with a resounding 4-1 victory over Torquay last weekend and the manner of that win suggests the manager may not tinker with a winning formula. However, Alexander has utilised most of his squad in the season's opening weeks and the likes of club captain Mark Roberts and joint-top scorer David Ball are waiting in the wings. Commenting on Bury, Alexander said: "They've got a very experienced manager in Kevin Blackwell and they've got some decent players. I'm sure they'll be up for it because it's a north west derby." The Shakers have Tom Soares available again when they make the short trip to Lancashire. The former Crystal Palace midfielder has not featured since the middle of August because of a thigh problem, yet comes back into contention as Kevin Blackwell's side look to get back to winning ways following the defeat to Rochdale. Blackwell will be forced to make a change in defence as full-back Shaun Beeley, an ever-present for the Shakers in the league this season, is not allowed to feature against his parent club. Midfielder Craig Jones is another who has started every League Two clash for Bury yet he picked up a knock against Dale and is a doubt after missing training all week.
