Alan Goodall: Pushing for a start

Team news for Friday's League Two play-off semi-final clash between Fleetwood Town and York City at Highbury Stadium.

Alan Goodall's return from suspension gives Fleetwood manager Graham Alexander a selection dilemma ahead of the second leg of the League Two play-off semi-final against York.

Goodall has served a three-match ban for the red card he received against Wycombe on Easter Monday, Steven Schumacher deputising in the holding midfield role in his absence.

Schumacher performed well on Monday night as the Cod Army gained a 1-0 first-leg advantage at Bootham Crescent so Alexander must decide whether or not to restore Goodall to his starting line-up.

Jeff Hughes (leg) remains Alexander's only injury concern and the midfielder is likely to remain on the sidelines.

York boss Nigel Worthington is expected to choose from an unchanged squad at Fleetwood in the return leg of his side's play-off semi-final.

The Minstermen must overturn a 1-0 deficit from Monday night's first leg at Bootham Crescent and although Worthington has no new injury or suspension worries, he could be tempted to make one or two tactical changes.

Striker Ryan Bowman is pushing for a recall alongside Calvin Andrew and if Worthington opts to beef-up his forward line, Michael Coulson could switch to a wide role up front.

Midfielder Lewis Montrose, who made way for Will Hayhurst in the first leg, is another player who provides Worthington with an alternative option.
