Jamie McCombe scored twice in two minutes to complete Huddersfield's stunning fightback as they beat Yeovil 4-2 at home.
The gangly centre-bank first headed in the equaliser on 66 minutes from a short corner routine worked by Gary Roberts and Graham Carey in Saturday's League One clash at the Galpharm Stadium. He then showed the silky skills of a striker on 68 minutes by waltzing through Yeovil's defence on a brilliant solo run forward before planting a powerful shot past Glovers' keeper Stephen Henderson. Scott Arfield started the comeback by blasting a volley into the top left corner when Yeovil's defence only half-cleared a Roberts free-kick on 49 minutes. Victory was then complete when Roberts sent Henderson the wrong way from the spot after Yeovil substitute Luke Ayling handled in the box on 75 minutes. Yeovil had earlier stunned Huddersfield when first Dean Bowditch's stunning volley gave the visitors a ninth-minute lead and then ex-Leeds defender Paul Huntington hooked in a Gavin Williams free-kick to make it 2-0 six minutes later. The Glovers dominated the first half but fell apart in the second. Huddersfield had three good penalty appeals waved away while Alan Lee hit the bar from a Roberts' cross as they turned the screw after the break.
