Mainz striker pulls out of Burkina Fasso's African Cup of Nations squad

Mainz striker Aristide Bance has left Burkina Fasso's African Cup of Nations squad after failing out with the coach. The striker, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League with clubs such as Stoke, Birmingham and Fulham, believes he will not get his chance with Portuguese coach Paulo Duarte. But the 25-year-old says he return to the national set-up in the future when the he will get more of a chance. He told skysports.com: "Burkina Fasso has got decent players but the way they treat people is wrong. "There are players who don't play in their (club) team but they know when they come in the national team, their places are guaranteed by the coach.

Fair

"I will play one day in the national team but when the competition is fair and all have the same chances. "I don't want to go there and sit on the bench when I can play games and make a difference. "Duarte never communicated (with me), I don't know if he included me in his squad because there was maybe a pressure on him to include me. "I am not his taste but that is life - I am still young and there will be other African Nations Cups." Burkina Fasso have been drawn against Ivory Coast, Ghana and Togo in the competition, although the Togolese have since withdrawn because of the gun attack on their team bus.
