Defender out for four months after knee operation

Juventus have confirmed that defender Paolo De Ceglie is set to be sidelined for four months. The left-back suffered a fractured kneecap during the 2-1 victory over AC Milan on Saturday and had to be taken off before half-time. He has now undergone surgery to repair the damage and will stay in hospital until Friday. De Ceglie will then have to stay on crutches for between seven and ten days before stepping up his rehabilitation. But the 24-year-old is not expected to return to action until the start of March and will therefore miss a huge chunk of the season. De Ceglie has established himself as a regular member of Luigi Del Neri's side, who are currently fourth in the Serie A table.
