Roma still to find replacement for Doni

Cameroon goalkeeper Carlos Kameni could stay with Espanyol despite talks with Italian side Roma. Kameni had been granted permission by Espanyol to speak to the Giallorossi but a move has not materialised so far. The 27-year-old was linked with Premier League outfit Fulham earlier in the summer and is valued at approximately €5million. A statement from Espanyol read: "Carlos Kameni will have to report to Espanyol in the next few hours after the failure to reach a definite agreement with AS Roma for his transfer. "Hence, if in the next few hours there are no new developments, Kameni will have to undergo a medical with Espanyol and join the first team in pre-season training in Peralada." Roma have yet to acquire a replacement for Brazilian goalkeeper Alexander Doni, who joined Liverpool last week.
