Chesterfield manager John Sheridan has released former Bradford goalkeeper Lloyd Saxton and ex-Stockport forward Danny Pilkington.
The pair had been training with the newly-promoted League One club for the last couple of weeks, featuring in recent pre-season friendlies. Sheridan said: "Taking a look at potential recruits is what pre-season is all about but on this occasion we have decided not to pursue our interest in the two lads. "Both players acquitted themselves and we wish them all the best for the future."
