Celtic have signed Moroccan left-back Badr El-Kaddouri on loan from Dynamo Kiev.
A club spokesman initially confirmed the 30-year-old has joined until January, although Celtic have the option to buy the player, before the club announced the deal.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been looking for a left-back since Emilio Izaguirre broke his ankle earlier in August.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Celtic have signed Moroccan international left-back, Badr El Kaddouri, on loan to January.
"The player joins the club from Dinamo Kiev and Celtic have an option to purchase El Kaddouri at the end of the loan period."
