Watford have denied receiving any approaches for starlet Tommie Hoban.
The 17-year-old defender has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal and Manchester City both reportedly interested.
Hoban made his first-team debut at the end of last season and is highly regarded at Vicarage Road.
The Hornets have now played down speculation that their Irish youth international has been approached.
The club's head of football business Ross Wilson told the
Watford Observer: "There have been no approaches from any club for the player."
