Rovers suffer Virgo injury

Bristol Rovers defender Adam Virgo looks set to be ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee cartilage injury.

Virgo, who joined the Pirates from Yeovil in the summer, picked up the injury last month and physio Phil Kite has said the outlook is pretty grim for the centre-back. Kite told the Bristol Evening Post: "It looks very unlikely that Adam will play again this season. "The injury is very similar to the one Danny Coles suffered with us. That kept him out for a season, although he then came back and was able to play in the next two."
