Buddies boss not looking for strikers in January

St Mirren manager Danny Lennon has hinted he will not bolster his attacking options when the January transfer window opens. The Buddies are the lowest scorers in the SPL this season with 15 goals from their 17 league outings. The Paisley side slipped to a 2-1 defeat by Inverness at the weekend, however, Lennon is happy with the strikers at his disposal. Australia Under-23 international Aaron Mooy is available after a back injury and the Buddies boss has labelled the ex-Bolton man a 'wonderful finisher'.

Preparations

"I think at this time of the season it's always a wee bit more difficult," he told skysports.com. "You've got players out there that aren't getting a game for their own club for one reason or another. "If you're prepared you've done most of your business in the summer. We've tried to do that this season kicking off. We're fortunate at this moment in time we're delighted with how things are going. "We've got a right team spirit within in the squad. We've also got one or two players coming back into the squad, we've got Aaron Mooy who was looking absolutely fantastic. He'll give us that bit of threat. He's a wonderful finisher. "There's nothing in the pipeline in terms of any new strikers coming in. We believe in this group of players and the quality they have. "We do know we need a little bit in that final third, but we do believe we've got goals in this team."
