Stockley explains Stanley exit

The lure of home comforts resulted in Jayden Stockley rejecting an extended stay with Accrington.

But the Bournemouth striker is still grateful for his time at the Crown Ground. Stockley scored three times in five League Two starts for Stanley and was offered the chance to remain in Lancashire on loan until the end of the season. However, the 18-year-old elected to be closer to his family on the south coast and his focus is now firmly on breaking into the Bournemouth first-team. "They wanted me for the season but I decided to come back because it's closer to my family and all that kind of thing," Stockley said. "It was the best time I've had in professional football. I had not had five starts in a row for two or three years and it was good to be playing and getting some experience. "It was hard over Christmas time being away from my family but that's part of football and I could make up for that looking forward to a match. Now I'm looking to getting back into the Bournemouth side and I think I can do it."
