Duberry keen to carry on

Oxford's Michael Duberry has insisted he will not let his recent glut of own goals affect his game.

The veteran defender has put through his own net three times in the last four matches, including Macclesfield's opener in a 1-1 draw at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday. But the former Chelsea man is experienced enough to coax himself through a turbulent time in his long career. He told the Oxford Mail: "I just feel that every mistake I have made this season has ended with a goal or even a penalty, but I'll just go with it. Of course it bothers me because I don't like making a mistake, but I don't let it affect my game - you can't. "I don't like having own goals next to my name, of course I don't. "It's cost us a clean sheet and that's something I like having as a defender. I don't think they (Macclesfield) did anything to warrant scoring, but the quality in the second half was nowhere near where it should be."
