Ivorian commits to Bundesliga club

Defender Arthur Boka has signed a new one-year deal at Stuttgart which will extend by another 12 months if he makes enough appearances next season. The Ivory Coast full-back, who has already played 104 times for the Swabians, will continue to compete with Cristian Molinaro for a place on the left-hand side of Bruno Labbadia's defence next term. "We are delighted that Arthur has accepted our offer of a contract and showed his continued commitment to VfB," Stuttgart director of sport Fredi Bobic said on the Bundsliga club's official website. "Arthur is an international player who will do our team good with is quality and also his personality." The 29-year-old defender added: "I have always stressed that I feel very happy at VfB and I am therefore very happy to be able to extend my contract here." Boka joined Stuttgart from Strasbourg in 2006 and is now one of the club's longest-serving players and one of the few remaining members of their 2007 Bundesliga-winning squad.
