Borussia Monchengladbach have signed Atletico Madrid defender Alvaro Dominquez to replace Bayern Munich-bound Dante.

Borussia Monchengladbach have signed Atletico Madrid defender Alvaro Dominquez to replace the Bayern Munich-bound Dante.
The Spanish defender, who began his career with Atletico, will sign a five-year deal at Borussia-Park.
The 23-year-old will be a direct replacement for Brazilian full-back Dante, who is poised to sign for Bayern Munich.
"Alvaro Dominquez was the player we wanted as our left-sided central defender, which we needed to find following Dante's move to Bayern Munich," said Gladbach director of sport Max Eberl.
"He was a starting regular for Atletico Madrid, won the Europa League in 2010 and 2012 and recently broke into the Spain national team.
"We are proud that he had decided to join Borussia."
