Grosso grabs winner for champions as PSG lose again

Lyon moved closer to another Ligue 1 title as Paris Saint Germain lurched further towards relegation. Reigning champions Lyon made the most of their numerical advantage in the second half to run out 2-1 winners at Strasbourg. Wason Renteria put Strasbourg into a 21st minute lead before the hosts had Eric Mouloungui sent off for a second bookable offence two minutes before half-time. Lyon rallied in the second period and equalised on 62 minutes through Mathieu Bodmer before Italian full-back Fabio Grosso grabbed the winner on 68 minutes. PSG remain in the bottom three in the table after another embarrassing defeat - this time 3-0 at Caen. Anthony Deroin broke the deadlock for Caen on 52 minutes and Reynald Lemaitre added the second goal with 15 minutes left. Yoan Gouffran notched Caen's third with a minute to go to leave PSG in grave danger of dropping out of the top flight. Monaco claimed a 2-0 win at Nice, despite the Principality club finishing the match with just nine men. Camel Meriem put Monaco in front on 35 minutes before Adriano collected his second yellow card of the game on 84 minutes. Sergio Almiron netted a second goal to make the game safe for Monaco in the final minute, but there was still time for substitute Nikola Pokrivac to be sent off. Nancy moved back up to third spot in the table after battling back to draw 1-1 at home with Le Mans. Anthony Le Tallec, on loan from Liverpool, gave Le Mans the lead on 59 minutes, but Nancy levelled nine minutes later through Marc-Antoine Fortune. Lens boosted their hopes of survival after a thrilling 3-2 victory at home to Sochaux, with Adama Coulibaly giving the hosts the lead on seven minutes. Melvut Erding levelled the match four minutes into the second half, only for Aruna Dindane to quickly restore Lens' lead. Dindane grabbed his second of the match on 70 minutes before Sochaux claimed an 80th minute consolation through Jeremie Brechet. Sylvain Wiltord climbed off the bench to score the only goal on 76 minutes in Rennes' success at home to Valenciennes. St Etienne eked out a 1-0 win at home to Lorient, with Christophe Jallet putting through his own goal on 51 minutes. Bottom club Metz picked up a point away from home after drawing 0-0 at Auxerre.
