Decision of the Day: South Korea made a bright start against Uruguay but all that went up in smoke when goalkeeper Sung-Ryong Jung chose to watch Diego Forlan's low cross on to Luis Suarez's instep.
Jung flirted with Forlan's delivery but just when the keeper needed to make his move, he was as decisive and jittery as a spotty schoolboy moving in for his first snog.
With 35 goals in 33 Eredivisie games for Ajax last season, Suarez couldn't believe his luck, with Jung gifting him the ball and an open goal. The Uruguayan couldn't miss, despite a tight angle, and South Korea were left chasing the game.

In the first game of the 2010 World Cup knockout stage, Matty Briggs came in at half-time with a spring in his step having placed a little lump on Uruguay to win 1-0. That was looking good after Luis Suarez's early opener, but I was hoping for a second-half equaliser after backing Uruguay to be winning at half-time, draw full-time at 16-1 with Skybet.

Goal of the Day #1: We've not been blessed with great goals at the tournament so far, but Luis Suarez stepped up to the plate on Saturday. Suarez tapped home the opener from an acute angle, but it was the winning goal that got the sparse crowd purring. Suarez picked up a corner on the apex of the box and pinged a right-footed curler that gave the keeper no chance. It was a great strike and Suarez is certainly one to watch for the rest of the tournament.
Goal of the Day #2: Asamoah Gyan fired Ghana into the quarter-finals with a thumping effort. The lone ranger outmuscled Carlos Bocanegra before hammering a shot over Tim Howard.
Team of the Day: Got to be Ghana - only the third African team in history to reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup. They were indebted to keeper Richard Kingson after two fine saves, but Ghana played with a swagger beyond their years and just edged out USA. And in frontman Asamoah Gyan they have a player who will cause trouble for their quarter-final opponents Uruguay.
