Stockport kept their faint survival hopes alive after a 4-3 win in a thrilling clash with fellow strugglers Wycombe.
George Donnelly scored twice, while Jamal Johnson and Richard Partridge grabbed one apiece to seemingly seal victory for County.
But Wanderers launched an impressive fightback, a Matt Phillips double and an Owain Fon Williams own goal ensuring a nervy finish.
Partridge slotted the opener, capitalising on a goalmouth scramble to score from Johnson's corner and County doubled their lead just a minute later when Donnelly lashed home.
Johnson added a third soon after the break, cutting in from the right flank to fire a left-foot bullet into the far corner before Ibehre squared for Donnelly to double his own tally.
But Wycombe almost rescued a lost cause as Phillips fired home Matt Harrold's cross on 67 minutes and then nodded in a corner to cut the gap.
Jon Paul Pittman's cross was diverted into his own net by Owain Fon Williams five minutes from time but County held on.
