Shuker secures trip to London Road
Tranmere Rovers set up an FA Cup second-round meeting with Peterborough by seeing off League Two side Accrington on Thursday night.
The League One outfit won the Prenton Park replay 1-0 thanks to Chris Shuker's 69th-minute winner, despite a brave display by the visitors from the flight below.
Following a goalless first half, the hosts finally broke the deadlock after 69 minutes - moments after Stanley had hit the post from Jimmy Ryan's free kick.
Steven Jennings broke from midfield and played in Shuker on the left side of the penalty area.
From there the striker clipped a shot beyond the keeper, with the aid of a slight deflection from challenging defender Kieran Charnock.
Rovers' reward is a trip to London Road in round two on the weekend of 29th-30th November.
