Peterborough cruised into the second round of the Carling Cup as they romped to a 4-0 win at League One Wycombe.
The Championship newcomers were inspired by midfielder George Boyd as they claimed a 2-0 half-time lead through strikes by Aaron McLean and Tommy Rowe.
Boyd and Lee Frecklington then struck in the second half to seal a comfortable win for Posh at Adams Park.
The hosts made a bright start and Jon-Paul Pittman missed a great opportunity to give them the lead when he fired wide from close range early on.
But it did not take the visitors long to get into their stride, and two goals within 10 minutes midway through the first half put them in charge.
First, McLean swept home a Boyd corner from a tight angle in the 24th minute before new-boy Rowe reacted quickest to poke home Tom Williams' cross.

Darren Ferguson's men were now in cruise control and it was more of the same after the break, with Boyd scoring the goal of the night in the 59th minute when he flashed a venomous left-footed drive past home goalkeeper Jamie Young from 30 yards.
Frecklington, another summer signing, then completed the scoring with a 68th-minute strike after being teed up Shaun Batt.
