Fantastic Four

Image: Ngwenya: no stopping him on the wing

Toulouse, Tomas O'Leary and Takudzwa Ngwenya caught Will Greenwood's eye in the Heineken Cup.

Ngwenya on fire for Biarritz

Defending champions Leinster set the bar high on Friday night with a dramatic 29-28 win over Clermont Auvergne while Munster, not to be outdone, were clinical in their 33-19 win against Northampton. Munster will meet Biarritz in the semi-finals after the French outfit sneaked a nail-biting clash against the Ospreys 29-28. Leinster will take French giants Toulouse who were classy in every facet as they smashed Stade Francais 42-16. Aftern watching all the action, Will Greenwood selects the best and the worst from the quarter-finals.

Team: Toulouse

Stade Francais fought ever so valiantly but could do nothing to repel a second-half onslaught from Toulouse. With a wealth of experience at their disposal, the french giants made the pressure count with some brutal forward battles and some quite mesmerising skills from the likes of Yannick Jauzion and Cedric Heymans.

Player: Tomas O'Leary

A master class from the scrum half who ruled the fringes and whose speed of delivery gave the Munster backline time and space. He was also lightning from the base of the scrum which set-up Villiers to burst through and score.

Try: Takudzwa Ngwenya

This was quite sensational. Ngwenya got the ball deep into his 22 with plenty of space - he beat Mike Phillips and then was given a hint of space by Shane Williams. Like he did against Brian Habana in the 2007 World Cup, Ngwenya took the space and was away. Williams chased but there was no stopping the rocket man.

Moment: Yachvili pass to Ngwenya for Balshaw try

With Biarritz 19-18 ahead in the second half, Yachvilli spotted some space out wide and sent a long pass to their speedster who raced up the flank. Having seen their pace man beaten already, the Ospreys defence came swarming around Ngwenya who calmly popped a kick over their heads for Iain Balshaw to dot down for a try.

Villain: Brock James.

It is very tough on James but it was like watching a man fall apart on live TV. He's been so reliable this season but at the end he just did not want to take any responsibility for the drop goals after a dismal kicking display. He contributed to the three tries scored by Clermont but sadly he will be remembered as the man who missed the kicks which robbed Clermont of a semi-final spot.
